'VERVE' Conventional Car Concept

'VERVE' Conventional Car Concept
Born of a desire to make covered rear wheel-wells look stylish, Verve is an example of my visual aesthetic sensibilities as applied to a conventional coupe-style car: sporty, modern, fun, agile, and aerodynamic, favoring sharp lines and crisp edges throughout.

The interior remains a work-in-progress, with only broad-strokes geometry and layout defined

Ideation & Development

Working exclusively on three-wheeled vehicles at Arcimoto, I naturally became curious to see how I might fare at developing a traditional four-wheeled vehicle. Now and again I couldn't resist drawing up a conventional vehicle sketch, some of which follow. No one sketch became the basis for the Verve, which instead came together as a blend of the ideas explored throughout the sketches.
After coming up with a basic nose complete with vent shape designs, I spent some time exploring different headlight adornment treatments. UPPER RIGHT: An early tail section concept.
